1 ) 吃貨：foodie
Foodie 可以用來說明喜歡吃各式各樣東西的人，當然也包含那些對烹飪講究的美食家囉。另一字Gourmet即非美食家莫屬囉。Foodie 範圍較為廣泛，而gourmet比較嚴肅、莊重。Foodie 也可以當形容詞以表示和吃貨、美食相關的東西。
例句:
Night markets in Taiwan are foodie heavens.
台灣的夜市是美食天堂。
例句:
Steven is exactly a foodie. He always tries out different restaurants.
Steven確實是一個吃貨。他總是嘗試不同餐廳。
2 ) 嚐起來... (像... /怎麼樣): taste
Taste 當不及物動詞時，是指某物吃起來的感覺如何如何。Taste 也是一個連綴動詞，後面可以直接加 【形容詞】 或是【like 名詞】。
例句:
McDonald’s fries always taste good.
麥當勞薯條總是好好吃。
例句:
The stinky tofu tastes like your dirty clothes.
這臭豆腐吃起來像你的髒衣服。
例句: How does the food taste? Nice?
這食物嚐起來如何呀? 好吃嗎?
文法小補充： good 在這邊是說明 McDonald’s fries 嚐起來是好的。Mcdonald’s fries 是本句主詞，good 是補充說明主詞的語句，所以稱為主詞補語。而taste 做為橋樑，將主詞及主詞補語連接起來。因爲主詞補語要描述『是名詞的』主詞，所以主詞補語一定可以是形容詞。換句話說，taste後面可以直接加上形容詞。
3) 外酥內軟 → beV crispy outside and tender inside
Crispy : 酥脆的
tender :軟嫩的
例句:
For me, the best chicken cutlets should be crispy outside and tender inside.
對我來說，最棒的雞排應該是外皮酥脆、肉質軟嫩。
4) 多汁的 → juicy / succulent
例句:
Din Tai Fung is famous for its juicy xiao long bao dumplings that have at least 18 exquisite folds twirled to a close at the top.
鼎泰豐以它多汁及精美18摺的小龍包有名。
例句:
The cod fish is tender and juicy.
這鱈魚軟嫩多汁。
5) 描述食物質地的形容詞 (可以放在taste後面)
moist → 濕軟的
firm → 紮實的
crispy → 酥脆的
crunchy → 酥脆的
creamy → 綿密的
chewy → 有嚼勁的
fluffy → 鬆軟的
gooey → 黏稠的
loose → 鬆軟的
6) 描述食物味道的形容詞 (可以放在taste後面)
greasy → 油膩的
salty → 鹹的
light → 清淡的
hot / spicy → 辣的
sour → 酸的
bitter → 苦的
bland → 平淡無味的
raw → 生的
burnt → 燒焦的
smoky → 煙燻的
savoury → 鹹或辣的(不是甜的)
7) 手機先吃飯 → Phone eats first!
例句:
Please don’t take a bite of that food until after I take a photo. Phone eats first! 手機優先享用，我拍完照之後大家在吃喔。
8) 手機族必學
打卡 → check in
例句:
That plate of clams will be free if you check in on Facebook.
如果你在臉書打卡，那盤蛤蜊就是免費囉。
例句:
Check in on Facebook and get 30% off your next order.
臉書打卡，下次7折。
分享 → share
例句:
Steven shares his pleasure with me by sending a crazy number of foodie photos.
Steven 藉由傳送瘋狂多的食物照來和我分享他的喜悅。
例句:
Share the page if you enjoy the contents.
喜歡我們的內容，就分享這個粉專哦。
例句:
Taiwanese people like to share what they think by Line stickers.
台灣人喜歡用Line貼圖分享他們的想法。
APP → application → 應用程式
例句: Bestcamel is an application that I love most to capture memories with food.
Bestcamel是我捕捉和食物的回憶最愛的一款應用程式。
9) 買單
老闆我要買單？
Could I have the check, please?
= Can I have the bill, please?
這餐我請客啦!
It's on me. (算我的)
= I will treat you.
例句:
I haven’t got any money with me for bubble tea.
我身上沒帶錢買珍奶。
That’s alright. It’s on me.
沒關係，我請你喝。
10) 各付各的 (Go dutch) / 一人一半 (Go fifty-fifty)
例句:
How about going Dutch?
我們各付各的怎麼樣？
例句:
Let's go fifty-fifty．
我們平分吧。
11) 我餓了
My stomach is growling.我肚子咕嚕嚕嚕嚕叫 (growling 是狀聲詞)
I am hungry. → 大家一定都認識，我餓了
I am super hungry = I am starving = 我餓死了
I could eat a horse = 我餓到可以吃掉一頭牛(中文裡說牛，英文是馬)
12) 菜單：menu
看菜單：read the menu
讀地圖：read the map
Appetizer / Appetiser → 前菜
Entree → 主餐
Starter → 前菜
Main course → 主餐
Dessert → 甜點 → 複數desserts 倒過來就是 stressed (感到壓力的) 會不會壓力大就要吃甜點呢?
Beverage → 飲料
Side dish → 小菜
13) 駱駝喜愛的台灣美食
Stinky tofu → 臭豆腐
Wheel pie → 車輪餅
Oyster thin noodles → 蚵仔麵線
